Lumbie Mlambo is the youngest of the 10 children born to an orphaned father. Despite her father being an orphan at 8 years old and never going to school himself, he made sure all 10-children had an education. Lumbie got her associate degree in Computer Science from Indiana University South Bend, Indiana in 1996, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Minor in Mathematics from Texas Woman’s University, Denton in 2001.
In 2001, Lumbie had a stroke that left her partially paralyzed, but she has since then recovered, although she’s forever a stroke patient. She is married to a wonderful man (Sam) and has 2 boys (Sam, Jr and JB) who are big dreamers.
Lumbie is a commercial print Model, Actress, Software Engineer, Happiness Ambassador, motivational speaker, and CEO/Editor-In-Chief/Publisher of a national, lifestyle magazine called Equanimity. Her vision is to make a difference in people’s lives by providing empowerment, encouragement, motivation and inspiration to the whole world, so that everyone achieves a certain level of balance and unity in order to become productive in their communities. Her interest in this field stems from her upbringing in Africa.
